Publisher's Synopsis
Marvie Louis was born an independent thinker into a strict religious family. His mother Mattie tells the 5 year old that voodoo killed his Granddaddy, Marvie Louis decides to subdue his independent nature and adopts the rules of religious as a precaution but nothing else goes right. When the threat of voodoo seems abated the now 10th grader again acts without regard and develops a promising music career. Later, voodoo strikes his beloved twin sister Mary Louise. The now 20 year old Marvie Louis prays asking God for protection; offering to sacrifice his musical career. God soon calls him to preach. Marvie Louis quickly backslides then Voodoo strikes him a fatal blow. However, just before dying the 25 year old makes an unbreakable bargain with God. He offers to serve God for life if God would keep him alive. God quickly commands into his service. But God
