A Personal Autobiography of the daily challenges that i face living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and my difficulties with Social Skills. I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder three years ago by Tanya Breen, an ASD Specialist based in Hamilton in New Zealand. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disability in the DSMV, (Diagnostical and Statistical Manual) which is the 'bible' of the American Psychiatric Association, that is more common in boys than girls. It affects 1 in every 88 babies born globally. The symptoms of autism include: Problems with Communication, Imagination and Social Skills, Repetitive Interests/behaviour and Sensory Issues and Difficulty with making Sense of the World.
