Every family has a story waiting to be discovered by seekers of history's triumphs and failures, joys and sorrows, filled with events that steer the course for future generations. Each individual carries stories of the human will to persevere through life's challenges and obtain personal success. We simply have to open our eyes to see the past that built our paths. My hope is that the McKenna story inspires others to seek their own family stories. It all began with planning a family heritage trip to Ireland in September of 2015 for our granddaughter. As her High School graduation gift from her grandparents, Hope wanted to see the Homeland and learn about her Irish ancestors. With her long raven hair, big green eyes, and ivory skin our 18-year-old Hope resembles the epitome of a classic Irish beauty. She would be right at home in Ireland. This is the story of our quest for the past along with a lot of fun on the journey.
