Publisher's Synopsis
What the Koda book is about.
Koda Bear, the hero of this story, an incredibly inelligent Red Tabby Maine has run away from home and has come to adopt and live with the writer. They first accidentally bumped into each other when Koda came out of the high grass of his secret domain by his water pond: the Condo complex swimming pool. The writer at first glance thinks he's seen a baby lion! As they keep staring at each other fixed in their tracks the writer keeps saying: "Hi""Hi""Hi" and looking fixatedly mesmerized at those two beautiful African cat golden-green eyes staring back at him and intensely smiling,"Yes human, Behold! I am a cat, like I know you've never seen before!" Then as someone approaches Koda runs back into the high grass and disappears! "Did you see that?" "What?" "A cat from Africa", I said. "No way!" But he was!
A few days later Koda and the writer meet again and this time instead of running away Koda begins to repeatedly beat his his head against the writer's leg. "He wants me to adopt him", I say. And he did. And I did. And soon after life becomes one Kitty Kat journey of heroics. Koda has a Mom, who's looking for him...!!! He's run away, AWOL from his home....!!!
But, being and understanding Mom she allows Koda to stay and we find out that Koda is from a home of several dogs and cats and bunny rabbits and has run, away hedging his bets...!!!
Apparently Mom has bought a baby Weimaraner puppy for her new baby boy and Koda is hurt after being with Mom for 10 years. Hoever, Koda still secretly goes back to see Mom in another building in the Condo compound and won't show the writer where exactly is it that he goes. Trouble soon happens, Mom has to leave the complex and move away.
At first, things are ok, but Koda soon realizes she has gone. Koda now begins to miss his Mom. The writer of course sends Mom pictures of Koda very day. But Koda is getting older and even though he is strong minded the writer senses from his silences that he misses her dearly. Will Koda and Mom be reunited? We will have to find out. The writer feels they should reunite and this is the basis for this book about a very fine Mom and and her Champion Red Tabby Maine Hero named: .......Koda Bear.....!!!
