Publisher's Synopsis
Life as we know it takes unexpected turns and creates changes, most of which we have no control over. One of these is how it separates us through death from those we grow up with, love, and cherish in our living years. And when the unexpected happens, we are often left feeling discouraged, confused, or brokenhearted. It makes no difference if the loss we experience is that of a human or domesticated animal family member. We end up feeling equally empty, especially if the relationship between us was also based on friendship as a glue. My Four-Legged Friends is a story collection of six domesticated animals I befriended in my life. Three of these I grew up with in Africa and appropriately referred to as My Africa Four Legged Friends. The other three, which I call My American Four-Legged Friends, I later met and befriended during my educational years in the United States of America. The book offers reflections about co-existing, loving, and sometimes trusting our animal friends and family members. It teaches us that God did not make a mistake when He made it both possible and necessary to welcome the four-legged animals as part of our family household. The book is based on true stories and promises to evoke real emotions, especially to those who are animal lovers.
