Publisher's Synopsis
Documentary following Brian Herzlinger, an unemployed 27-year-old aspiring filmmaker from New Jersey, who has had a crush on film star Drew Barrymore ever since he saw her in ET when he was in second grade. When he wins $1,100 on a game show, he decides to use it to make his dream come true - and to make a film about it as he goes. He and his film-school friends hire a video camera on a 30-day return policy basis, and set out to get through the army of publicists, producers, agents and assistants who protect the film star from her adoring public, and enable him to ask her out on a date. The film won the Audience Award at the 2004 HBO Comedy Arts Festival.
