Publisher's Synopsis
Following the unusual journey of my life as an ignored kid, former drug abuser, hack musician, sculptor, hippy wanna be, bong maker, machinist, toolmaker, father, husband, extensive traveler, and a 43 year old college freshman turned English teacher demands some clarifications and a few explanations. I have never thought too much about how my life unfolded. I was sixty years old when a former student told me, "You've had an amazing life." My former student always wanted to hear about my life and especially my travels. One day she said, "You need to write this stuff down." She later added, "You could spit out a book in no time." So, four years later, with a lot of help from my former student, I think I am finished with "our" book. I imagine my former student is thrilled because she has seen about a half dozen "finished" copies, each copy about 4,000 words longer than the previous copy. Now that I am done writing, perhaps she will freeze a copy of the book in a block of water and then throw it through my front window as an exclamation mark. Thank you. I've enjoyed every minute of this project.
