Publisher's Synopsis

Cal Rogers is an Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation detective who is preparing to retire when a woman's body turns up in a creek southwest of Tulsa. Rogers is stationed in Claremore, Oklahoma, the home of Will Rogers who was no relation. This will be the last case Rogers believes he will be handling before his retirment the first of July. But when another woman's body turns up in another creek thirty miles farther west, Rogers believes he may have a serial killer on his hands. The victims appear to be prostitutes who frequent truck stops along I-40, I-44, and old Route 66. Rogers intends to save other working girls from the same fate as the first two when he meets a young working girl who wants to do the same thing. Then, a nearby preacher decides that it is his duty to save the young prostitutes too, but in a Heavenly way. From Oklahoma through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, this suspence travels along the highways that parallel Route 66. A thriller that you can't put down.
