Kyle had taken a year to go to a two-year college out of high school where he could complete the inane mandatory courses required by the larger institutions. This also gave him time to save more money toward the ungodly tuition he'd be expected to pay. When he felt better prepared to choose a field in which he'd hopefully work for the rest of his life he chose a school where he felt he could also be involved in the athletic programs he desired.
Although he had a high school sweetheart whom he loved deeply, his true, first love was football. Palatine University was a good school he might afford and get his chance to play the sport he loved so dearly and excel at both. His time at Palatine became dark and worrisome as the campus became a place of blood and fear from a serial killer suddenly set upon the young and innocent victims that attended. The State police were stumped and Kyle felt a moral and ethical need to contribute to the safety of his friends and neighbors at the campus. Starting a service to escort young ladies to and from their destinations seemed to stifle the killer at large but after summer break, people started dying again. And again. And again... Finally, after many long hours of brain racking work and hundreds of interviews, Detective Sargeant Donaldson believed he had the slippery slime identified and a trap was set.
