Much Ado About Nothing is a popular William Shakespeare (1564-1616) comedy featuring verbal sparring partners Beatrice and Benedick who are tricked into falling in love with one another. Meanwhile vile gossip causes Claudio to denounce the innocent Hero at the altar. The plot against Hero is unwitting discovered by Dogberry, a fool of a constable, and all ends well.
