Publisher's Synopsis
Mosby's AccessTest is a trusted resource for helping nursing students prepare for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam by assessing their knowledge and abilities before they take the boards. The AssessTest is comprised of 265 questions that reflect the stand-alone format and distribution of content consistent with the latest NCLEX-RN test plan. Performance is evaluated in categories on client needs, nursing process, clinical area, and focus of care. After taking the exam, the student receives a list of questions answered incorrectly as well as a booklet detailing the correct answers, question classifications, and rationales for all answer options. The computerized institutional report for instructors summarizes group performance in the same categories as the individual profile and assists instructors in evaluating the group's strengths and weaknesses. The group scores are compared to those of an RN norm group as well as a program-specific norm group. The report also includes an item analysis that indicates which percentage of the group chose the correct answer for each question, an analysis of group performance by exam category, and a roster of individual student's scores and percentile rankings.
