Publisher's Synopsis
Russell woke up to scratching along the ceiling above his bed. He immediately thought his house was haunted. It had to be a ghost until a mouse fell from the ceiling onto his bed. The relief he felt as his dog ate the mouse soon turned to terror when a shadow creature emerged from the small hole in the ceiling. It declared it would steal his soul in nine nights while taking its first bite.
Now Russell must find a way to stop his soul from being sucked away by an ancient evil that he knows nothing about. He also has to figure out how to return the taken parts of his soul to his body before he ends up with a rotten foot. But with time running out, the ancient evil popping up more and more, and no one believing him, can Russell find a way before his soul is taken from him forever?
