Publisher's Synopsis

Jeromy Jenkins returned home after a distinguished career in the army, having served two tours in Vietnam. He settled in the small city of Poplar Bluff, Missouri taking a job in law enforcement with the Butler County Sheriffs Department. Having never been married Jeromy decided that it was time to start a family. One day while on vacation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida Jeromy saved a woman from drowning. They fell in love almost instantly and were soon married. Before long Janice informed her new husband that they were expecting a child. Nine months passed and the pains of birth began. Jeromy rushed Janice to the hospital but along the way it became apparent that something was wrong. Janice and the baby tragically died during childbirth. Jeromy never attended the funeral for his wife and son but instead ran away from society to live the rest of his days in the forest planning to never return to humanity but something happened that would change his loneliness. While walking through the forest one day Jeromy found an abandoned baby. This baby was somehow different but all Jeromy saw was his lost son having returned from the dead. Nothing would take his happiness from him ever again no matter what the cost.
