The object of this note is to supply certain results derived from kinetic theory concerning the macroscopic description of mixture of gases. The description proposed is special in that it is entirely based on the microscopic description of the mixture via Boltzmann's Equation coupled to the Maxwell's Equa tions. Yet it is sufficiently broad to include various theories at present in use as limiting cases. Some of these will be discussed in subsequent notes.
