This striking Gift Set opens to reveal an A4 sketchbook. The sketchbook’s tactile fabric cover features a close-up of an original painted artwork created by Zeng Fanzhi in celebration of the Year of the Dragon. The sketchbook pages are made from 165 g/m² paper which makes the perfect base for a wide selection of artistic media, and which also stands up to eraser use. As well as the Chinese New Year-inspired cover, this limited edition also comes with a story card, and lucky envelopes.
A colouring pencil set completes this Gift Set, each one with a quote by the artist.
Zeng Fanzhi graduated from the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts in 1991 and now lives and works in Beijing. Among the most eminent artists working today, Zeng has gained international renown for his technical skills and expertise in conjuring emotion from his subject matter. His art has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world.
This Gift Set is part of the Moleskine 2024 Asian Collection. The collection unites three contemporary creatives from three diverse countries in a celebration of Eastern traditions: Japanese manga creator Momoko Sakura, Chinese artist Zeng Fanzhi, and South Korean typographic designer Ahn Sang Soo.
