Publisher's Synopsis
"Modula-2" was designed by Niklaus Wirth, also the author of the Pascal programming language. It emerged from careful design deliberations as a language that includes all aspects of Pascal and extends them with the important module concept and those of multi-programming. Modula-2 brings advanced software engineering principles such as modularity and encapsulation, data abstraction and discrete structures, strong type-checking across compilation boundaries, and concurrent process handling to computer programming. The Metrowerks Modula-2 StartPak integrates a one-pass native code compiler, and specialized multi-window text editor, and source-level debugger, a tutorial, and documentation.
