Publisher's Synopsis

Jae is surprised to learn that Michael continues to practice his own art. In fact, it's how he makes his "living." But his paintings aren't just paint and canvas, the figures can actually come to life as the figures become spirits who fly away. The more Jae learns, the more questions she has, and the more she wants to learn everything about the vampire Michael. She begins questioning others, but she soon learns everything is a secret at this estate. Meanwhile, both Michael and Ken seem to be vying to Jae's sexual attention. They've both kissed her, but is it passion on Ken's part, or competition? Ken seems to take pleasure in playing games with Jae, confessing his passion one moment, then saying it was a joke the next. Finally, the arrival of a new guest brings about new revelations! Rachel Dubon arrives a week earlier than her "appointment" in which she is supposed to have her painting done by Michael. However, she recognizes Eva (the servants) as a former super model. This only raises more questions for Jae. She asks Michael who reveals part of her past and how she ruined her career by refusing to wear a designer's clothes on the runway and instead came out nude.;Rachel is a huge fan of Eva's former career (which was many years ago). She even carries a giant poster of Eva around with her. But Rachel is a racist who hates "Orientals" and she and Jae have an argument before Ken breaks it up.
