The concept of Mitzee the Scribble Dog arose from a real life dog, rescued from the Dogs Trust. As in the book, Mitzee, in real life, is perpetually wet, dirty, full of fun and adventure - of course she is white which accentuates the mud and dirt. Her appealing eyes and amiable nature make her hard to resist. Mitzee adores being around small children and, as most children have vivid imaginations, the idea of combining the two arose.
