Publisher's Synopsis
A beloved Southern Airedale tells of her adventures after being dognapped while travelling to her new home in the rolling horse country of Southeastern Pennsylvania. She eventually escapes from her captors in hair-raising fashion but finds herself lost in beautiful but unfamiliar territory. A new friend, Mo, huge and shaggy, joins her as she searches for her new home. Their ensuing exploits are told in exciting and touching fashion as they travel through scenic (and occasionally dangerous) countryside. Along the way, they encounter Cholly the cat, a smart-talking tabby with a magnificent tail, who eventually comes to their aid. They also meet the incurably clumsy Mutt and help to find him a new name and a proud owner. They are accused of being chicken thieves and are hunted by gun-bearing farmers. In one segment, they encounter what may well be a ghost. In another episode, they spend Christmas Eve in an abandoned Victorian farmhouse with a traveling three piece band. At last in the spring, after almost a year on the road, Miss Annie's quest comes to an abrupt and heart-warming conclusion.
