Me. - T hat ye ffirst daye of April], Anno Bni. 1593, John Tomson delivd into the bandes of John Shelley the some of Sixteene Poundes of good and lawful] money of England: wch some is to be emploed to the use of the poore of the pishe of Hackney, being geven by one Mr. Mathewe, of London, and receaved by the hande of ye said John Shelley, the day and yere above said: and is to be repaide againe the second Daye of April, 1594, into the hande of Mr. John Mauchell, Esquire, and Mr. Hugh Johnson, Vicar of Hackney, and ye Churchwardens, and to be againe employed at their discretion.

This money abovesaid was paid in according to the order abovesaid by me, John Shellye.
