Publisher's Synopsis
The book is constructed in 12 meditations related to the task of thought to interact with the concepts of nothingness, time, infinity and art. The interaction, however, hypothesizes a "schism," a separation of those concepts from the demands of reality that provide for nothingness the constraint to emptiness, for time that to the moment or eternity, for infinity that to the indefinable, and for art that with expression and creativity. In the author's proposal, aesthetics thus reclaims the primal principles of sensitive intuition and restores to nothingness the attention beyond the annihilation of being, to time the power of the instant, to infinity its path to a design infinitude, to art its origin and aspiration.
