Publisher's Synopsis
Mazie the mouse is a meticulous gardener and proud of her yard. She has perfectly pruned rose bushes and a beautiful lawn. Until her clumsy friend George the gopher flings up dirt, Sue the mole shatters Mazie's favorite decoration, and Ruth the rabbit's boys smash the roses. With each accident, Mazie's yard looks less lovely, she grows angrier, and a mysterious hedge sprouts higher and higher around her lawn--and her heart. How could George, Sue, and those boys be so careless? No real friend would make such foolish mistakes. She will never forgive them! At least the hedge will keep them out. But what will Mazie do when it cuts her off from the rest of the world?
How will Mazie ever get rid of that pesky plant?
Filled with fun animal characters, Mazie and the Mysterious Hedge shows how unforgiveness closes us off from our friends and what can happen when we finally stop letting it grow in our hearts.
