Publisher's Synopsis
This book contains a selection of papers presented at the conference and grouped by themes. All aspects of reservoir description and simulation are covered: reservoir characterization is dominated by geostatistical methods.;Effective properties deal with the behaviour of heterogeneous reservoirs as if they were homogeneous. Numerical schemes and reservoir simulations cover several aspects of simulating flow in deterministically or stochastically heterogeneous reservoirs. Analytical methods dealing mainly with gas or solvent flooding and dispersion come next. Gridding addresses the problem of discretizing moving fronts, large-scale heterogeneities or well regions.
