This update to the 1985 edition of Master Index to Summaries of Children's Books references books appropriate for children through grade six published from 1980-90, and includes multiple editions for source books when applicable. Created to assist librarians and teachers who need to know what various children's books are about, the summaries indexed are found in bibliographies, children's literature textbooks, and books of activities based on children's books. The main entries are arranged by author/editor or title when no one person could be given credit for the work, and separate title and subject indexes serve as an additional way to search for titles.
