Excerpt from Mason on Highways: Containing the New York Highway Law
This manual is published in pursuance of chapter 536 of the 1m of 1904. Under this act the secretary of state designated the undersigned to prepare and publish a revised edition of the Highway Manual of the State Of New York heretofore pub lithed pursuant to chapter 655 of the laws of 1893. The act provides that the manual shall contain all the laws of the state relating to the construction, maintenance and use of highways, and the powers, duties and liabilities of highway officers.
