The former part of this monograph, published in the last number of the Studies for 1906, discussed events occurring in Maryland from the beginning of the period of the English Civil Wars down to the close Of the difficulties between Lord Baltimore and the Jesuits. The narrative is now taken up with the events of the year 1643, and soon brings us to the appearance of Richard Ingle in Provincial afi'airs.
