In the 1880s, strange things are happening at the Rafter S Ranch. Wolves kill four of Jim Settler's men, and his daughter Laura is found wandering about the woods in a daze with strange markings on her forehead. The Indians call it the mark of the wolf. Vowing revenge, Settler hires a trapper by the name of Gault who harbors a strong hatred for wolves. He vows to trap and poison all the wolves he can. However, the wolves are no easy target.
