Publisher's Synopsis
When Marilou's class puts on a play of the old story of the Ant and the Grasshopper, she knows what part she wants to play. She can sing, she can dance, she loves summer and doesn't worry about tomorrow.
So she practices and practices. But when the class learns what happens to the Grasshopper in the story when winter comes, they're agreed that it's very unfair. So they change the old story to give it a happier meaning, and have great time doing it. In the end, only the Ant has reason to complain. Marilou On Stage is a lively story about a group of creative kids who reinvigorate a classic tale.
