This volume contains images, materials and texts relating to Roots, a work by Mariagrazia Pontono created on the occasion of her artist's residency at the Harlem Studio Fellowship in New York. Roots is a visionary animation in 3D in which the skyscrappers of Manhattan visible from Central Park, together with some of the park's vegetation, are uprooted from the earth and lift off in flight.
