Publisher's Synopsis
A New York teenager faces a crisis of conscience in this psychological drama from director Kenneth Lonergan. While out shopping in Manhattan one afternoon, 17-year-old high school student Lisa (Anna Paquin) inadvertently distracts a bus driver (Mark Ruffalo), resulting in a fatal accident. Racked with guilt, she spends the following weeks trying to set the record straight, but becomes increasingly frustrated when she meets with unexpected opposition. If that wasn't enough, Lisa's strongly held ideals soon bring her into emotional conflict with those around her, in particular, her teachers, friends and family.
