The basis for the 1976 John Schlesinger film, this copy with various signatures of actors in that movie: those of Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier are laid down to the half-title; Marthe Keller's signed photograph is laid in, along with a card signed by William Devane. Laid down to the title-page is a slip signed by the author, who has added his New York address below.
