The engineer is at liberty, afterwards, to substitute tun nelling for open cuttings; but he must make, and defend, his parliamentary estimate on his parliamentary plans and sections, irrespective of any alterations.
Order No. 53 requires that any intended diversion of a turnpike or public carriage-road, navigable river, canal, or railway, shall be shown on the plan, and any proposed alteration in the width of the same noted.
