Publisher's Synopsis
Electronic messaging systems now play such a role in organizations of all sizes that it is increasingly apparent that enterprise-wide messaging be given as much attention as traditionally given to physical network management. System administrators should benefit from the information that, until now, has been limited for local area networks and distributed messaging systems. This text outlines a mechanism for stating corporate goals in relation to messaging and a process for attaining those goals. Included is a discussion of the currently available standards and practices that facilitate the actual management of live electronic messaging systems.
