The five books are:Accounting for Costs introduces costing and the classification of costs. It then looks at marginal, absorption, job and contract, batch and process and activity-based costing.Budgeting examines the functions and characteristics of the budgeting process. It also covers standard costing and variance analysis as well as behavioural aspects of budgeting.Management Accounting in Practice includes breakeven and contribution analysis, pricing and stock / just-in-time management, benchmarking and strategic management accounting.Quantitative Methods explains probability, measures of location and dispersion, sampling, linear programming, frequency distributions and the normal curve as well as regression and time-series analysis.Decision Making provides an in-depth look at ARR, IRR and NPV as well as payback periods and other areas of appraising capital investment and decision making.Computer Specification:Pentium 2GHz processor, 256 MB memory (RAM), Windows XP Home, 6x DVD-ROM drive or 32x CD-ROM drive. All computers have certain common items, which should be compatible with the general standard of the computer, they include: Colour monitor capable of displaying 800x600 resolution and "High Color" with appropriate video card to support this, hard disc drive with at least 20GB, pointing device (mouse, trackball, pen/pad, voice-activated), keyboard, 56kbps (V90 or V92) or broadband modem, sound card or onboard sound, microphone (some courses only) & speakers/headphones.Please note: course software is not compatible with a Macintosh. Internet Explorer browser software is required (Netscape Communicator is not suitable).Network Licences:Multi-user licences are not available for our CD-ROMs. However, multiple copies of the same CD-ROM may be bought at a discounted price.
