Malice

Alice has a good and balanced relationship with her spouse, Hans, but she's been fantasizing for years about what it would be like to have a relationship with someone else. She sometimes feels like she is falling in love with someone but she does nothing about it because she is afraid that her relationship with Hans will become unbalanced. One time, Alice takes the plunge into the deep and is momentarily happy. She soon realizes, after such events, that she is afraid of reality. When she realizes that her relationship with Hans is based on lies, she takes drastic action. Malice is an ironic tale with a pinch of suspense about the desires of the heart that sometimes remain unfulfilled. It is about dependency in relationships and maturity. Eventually, she finds the man of her life, who will always be there the whole life time. From the moment Ineke Verheul (1953) saw Stools, a classmate and a teacher at a school, she thought: I will write a book! It took her a while before she finally put her words into action, then there was no stopping her. Since then, she has written several books: novels, biographies, and children's books. They all have one thing in common; they all come from her boundless curiosity about what makes people tick.
