Publisher's Synopsis
Starting with the very first beats on the snare drum, the student is led on an interesting step-by-step sequence leading to increasing degree of difficulty. While primarily designed for class use, this method is highly practical for individual instruction leading to skills that can be adapted to other percussion instruments. While the beginner book is the most mportant to give students the best start, there are other books available with graded levels of difficulty to advance the student's skills. Drumming skills will allow a student to soon join small and large band, orchestra and/or marching band. There are ample illustrations throughout to assist the student on methods, equipment and technique.
