Knox Shepler is a country superstar in his prime. His management team built his brand by churning out a series of chart-hitting tunes, but each release takes Knox further away from the classic country of his roots. His agent suggests a compromise: if Knox will write an album full of the pop-country that made him famous, he can cut a single playing the music he's passionate about. But inspiration is hard to find on the road, so he heads to Paradise Island, posing as a contractor to hide his true identity. Claudia Alvarez moved over a thousand miles from home and took a job at A Cowboy in Paradise after she went viral several years ago for all the wrong reasons. Since then, she's been keeping a low profile and avoiding anything that might push her back into the limelight. When the bar's owner mentions he might have to sell, Claudia convinces him to let her fix up some bungalows on the property to generate the extra income. She can't afford to lose the only place where she's felt safe. When Knox and Claudia are forced to work together, he finds inspiration and she discovers it might be time to open up her heart. And as they explore the island - and each other - their feelings catch them in a tidal wave.
