Nate Greig is a lifetime explorer of the wilds of the Western United States. As a child, he was fortunate to accompany his extended family on many excursions to The Pacific Coast, Sierra Nevada, Rocky and Cascade Mountain Ranges, Great Basin, Mojave and Sonoran Deserts, and many other grand landscapes in the region. As an adult, these experiences became a bedrock for learning and inspiration and continue to push his understanding and appreciation for nature.
Nate is a writer, photographer, educator and advocate for the preservation and the recreational use of wilderness. He and his fledgling family take groups of all ages on day trips, summer camps, and backpacking expeditions throughout the western U.S. He has spent his life learning about North American flora, fauna, geography and natural history.
He is a person who believes that inspiration brings out the very best in humanity, and that we do not truly know ourselves until we have measured our strengths against the forces of the outside world.
