Wilmot finds himself lost and confused when he discovers several gateways (portals) have been inadvertently opened between Madder's World, the real world and the dark side. To prevent any contamination between the worlds from spreading further, Wilmot, his companions and Frank - the amusing, mischievous creature invented by his father - try to close the portals by facing their biggest fears and regrets. After a death-defying encounter with his own fears, Wilmot has to help his companions conquer theirs. He finds himself transported to a war zone with an exploding WW2 Spitfire plane, a place filled with strange unopened doors, and then another with perception distorting mirrors before he finally faces the wrath of a fire-breathing dragon! It's a race against time as Wilmot tries to close every portal to prevent any harmful contamination from spreading to the real world and its unsuspecting population...
