This book is an abridgment of the Latin Course, First Part. In that work an attempt was made to make the first steps of a beginner in Latin as easy as possible. The advance was made very gradual, the vocabulary was kept within the smallest possible limits, and care was taken that repeated changes should be rung on these few words by an abundance of exercises.
