Rios awakens one day with a vision of the world turning to chaos, death and destruction everywhere. Without any knowledge of what could possibly be done to avert this catastrophe, he sets out to protect his half-brother, the only person in the world he truly cares about. The brothers set out on a journey of discovery in an attempt to piece together what little Rios knows about the "event" and educating his brother, Vahn, on some very profound family secrets. The brothers travel all over their hometown of West Monroe, Louisiana seeking answers and shelter in an attempt at finding Rios' father, the only person who may be able to shed some answers. Set in the southern United States in present day, the story follows two brothers through their paths of self-discovery and revelations regarding something bigger than anyone could ever possibly know. Although one could liken it to stories of post-apocalyptica, the story contained within is anything but. Themes and concepts of love, trust, deception, unguided human nature, time-travel, vampirism, and scientific theory are all touched on from a real life point of view. This is book one of a three part series. Please read this before parts two or three.
