Publisher's Synopsis
The 11th edition of this work sets out the York-Antwerp Rules in full with a commentary on each. As the rules do not constitute a complete code, a large part of the book supplements omissions by bringing in those provisions of the law which are applicable. Sice the law and practice of general average remain basically the same for all nations, this work acts as a guide to the law of every country in the world, including the USSR. It is also intended to be an authoritative work on the law of England and other common law countries.
