All heck is breaking loose! The defeat of Rudolpho by Savannah Marshall and Donatello Ravell brought the Slayers and Vampires together, but it did something else. It peeved off Rudi's daughter Valerious. Now, she has her sights on killing Sav and Donnie. It's up to Donnie's sister, Lyssette, to make sure she doesn't get the chance. To further Vampire/Human relations, she's found herself teamed with Savannah's brother Kristain to find her and rescue her other brother Eli from Valerious' clutches. Along the way Lysette discovers more than she bargained for. A traitor on the Vampire Council is working with Valerious to bring about the downfall of the first Human/Vampire alliance in history. Now, Lyssette must save her brother, root out this traitor, and most importantly... Avoid falling in love with Kristain at any cost. Too bad he just so happens to be the only man who could make her forget all the vows she's ever taken as an agent of the VCI.
