Publisher's Synopsis
Scientist Paul Matthews (Tate Donovan) is fed up with being unlucky in love and decides to visit the gypsy Madame Ruth (Anne Bancroft) to seek help in turning his life around. Madame Ruth gives the young man a love potion, and when he returns home he and his friend Diane (Sandra Bullock) decide they must put the magic elixir to the test - under strict scientific conditions of course. Using themselves as guinea pigs, the intrepid duo settle down to wait for the results, and find themselves embarking on an amorous escapade which soon threatens to get wildly out of control.
