Publisher's Synopsis
In a different genre to his previous book, 'Artor', Trevor Wrenn tackles the nuances and complexity of love and war in 'Love Hurts'. Jane Forebright lives a 'normal', middle-class existence in suburban Oxfordshire when her world is suddenly turned upside down by a retired, injured soldier - who has just become an earl. She discovers that she is carrying his child, but not before he is called back to Afghanistan for one last mission. Although she is helped by her new friends and status, Jane realises she may never see Andrew again as she waits out her pregnancy. Unknown to her, he is still alive and starting to 'turn native' Afghanistan.
