Publisher's Synopsis
This is a complete collection of the work produced during the Space Coast Writers Guild 2015 "Book In A Day" conference. Participants took full advantage of new technology to collaborate on a book that included activities such as brainstorming story ideas, collaborative writing, agile editing, graphic design, and social media marketing. Using the online book production capabilities of the Kindle Direct Program, the book was created faster than ever before. By the end of the conference, everyone was a published author. It was a day well spent!
The book's theme is Love and Rockets, reflecting Valentine's Day and the essential nature of the Space Coast. There is one poem and eleven short stories that are included in the book. These contributions interpreted the book's theme in uniquely creative ways. The book was created and edited literally in a single day: from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Each group worked extremely hard to produce wonderful stories. Any errors remaining in the text are purely coincidental. The Space Coast Writers Guild (SCWG) is a network of writers dedicated to the same goal: helping authors realize their writing ambitions. Whether they are crafting the Great American Novel for national distribution or penning an intimate story for an audience of one, the Guild supports and encourages all members to succeed. Since 1982, the SCWG has provided activities to educate, develop, and promote writers and their writing.
