One summer Diana Scheunemann undertook an eight-week road trip clockwise around the US, starting and ending in New York. The aim of her trip was to photograph, film and explore the multiple facets of the American identity. The people that she met en route have become part of the project. Armed with just her camera and innate curiosity, Scheunemann uncovered a true passion, diversity and honesty across America. The people she met and interviewed exposed their true emotions, traumas and hopes for future endeavours to her, and her photographs reflect their honesty.
