Le 28 février, Pomponne répondit de Saint - Germain au cardinal d'estrées que la volonté du roi était que ces informations (de vie et moeurs) se fissent ou devant les ordinaires des lieux, ou devant les évèques dans les dio cèses desquels ceux qui étaient pourvus des évèchés ou des abbayes avaient demeuré durant cinq ans. Il ajouta que presque tous les pourvus seraient pris à la cour ou à Paris 2; de la sorte la difficulté serait tournée.
