Publisher's Synopsis
The past for Lomas, alias Ilyich Palatnik, a Russian emigre living in England, looms out of the normality of a London street, when he finds himself on the track of the penal camp killer of his mother. With revenge in his heart, Lomas tracks ex-Major Igor Kunetsov to his home in the far east of the Soviet Union, but there the Major's daughter, Inga, produces a counter-emotion. The deed of vengeance concluded, Lomas flees westward with Inga, closely pursued not only by the police, but also by the KGB.
