Publisher's Synopsis
Written by author, and great, great grandmother, Lori Bramble, this is her second poem book. The first book is called Lori's Stories, Poems From The Heart.
The poems combine love, emotions, (happy or sad) confusion, life, and determination to pick yourself up when you are down, and understand that you are not alone. Writing is Lori's way of expressing herself emotionally and letting her feelings flow from her heart, whether happy or sad. It makes her life much easier to survive. In Lori's Stories, the author takes you deep inside her most impressive thoughts in her mind, along with people who have come and gone in her life. Since Lori was ten years old, writing has been her passion. The very first poem she read was on the obituary page. She thought it was a poet's page and ran to her Mom, all excited about the new page she had found, only to be told it was the death notices! However, that only inspired her to write more. Since then, when she writes her thoughts, she discovers her life was happier, healthy, and full of inspirational love. Many years ago, while Lori was a single mom going to college, along with stressing over grades, she had to deal with sending the children to school. Yet, our daily life was a combination of patience, love, perseverance, and wonderment. Recently, Lori decided it was time to take some of her poems and share them with others, hoping others would enjoy reading them as much as she has enjoyed writing them. For years, Lori has written down her thoughts, finding writing her emotions helped her face the trials and tribulations she has encountered. Together, her family achieved the success and goals she had hoped for, or so she thought, until the loss of her first daughter, from a devastating disease. Lori's daughter was determined, and always believed in fulfilling her goals, which gave Lori the desire to publish her poetry. In life, Lori has found we are dealt a strange deck of cards, never knowing if we get the high number, or the low one. However, striving to reach for the highest one, and what we can achieve, is Lori's goal, and she continues to live by it.
